Enhancement should only be performed once refractive stability is achieved¹.
Typical stability timelines:
- LASIK: 3 months
- PRK: 3–6 months
- After cataract or RLE: 3 months minimum
Enhancing too early risks treating transient refractive shifts caused by epithelial remodelling or wound healing² ³.
Topography and refraction must be stable on repeat measurements¹.
Enhancement is never urgent. It is deliberate.
