Only light housework is recommended in the first days after brow lift surgery, with heavier chores delayed to protect healing tissues.
Safe light activities
Simple tasks help you stay mobile without straining the forehead. Move slowly and listen to your body.
- Gentle cooking and light tidying are usually acceptable once you feel steady
- Avoid bending low or lifting heavy pans, bins, or shopping bags
- Keep cleaning products away from your eyes and incisions
- Use lubricating drops if your eyes feel dry during chores
- Stop if you notice throbbing, pressure, or increasing swelling
Heavier cleaning and DIY tasks
Jobs involving dust, overhead reaching, or strong effort can endanger the surgical result.
- Delay vacuuming, deep cleaning, heavy gardening, and DIY for several weeks
- Ask family or friends for help with strenuous tasks initially
- Wear protective glasses and a mask in dusty areas when you eventually return
- Avoid ladders until balance and vision feel reliable
- Review your activity plan with the team at each follow-up
