What is brow lift surgery?

< 1 min read

Brow lift surgery raises a low or heavy eyebrow position to open up the area around the eyes. It can improve both the visual field and facial appearance when drooping brows weigh down the upper lids.

How brow lift is performed

Through small incisions placed at or behind the hairline, or directly above the brow, the tissues are lifted and secured in a higher, more natural position. The technique is chosen according to the cause and degree of brow descent, as well as hairline and skin type.

  • Often combined with upper eyelid surgery when excess skin is also present
  • Swelling and bruising are common in the first couple of weeks
  • Most people return to light activities within days, avoiding heavy exertion initially
  • Results aim for a balanced, symmetrical brow height rather than an over-corrected look
