Many people notice clearer vision soon after YAG treatment but timing varies. Temporary floaters glare or blur are common while the eye settles.
Immediately after the laser
Dilating or focusing drops can blur sight for several hours. Bright lights and laser flashes may leave lingering after images.
Because of this many clinics advise you not to drive home yourself. Resting for the remainder of the day is often sensible.
Short term visual changes
Vision usually improves within a day or two. Some symptoms are part of normal recovery.
- Specks or cobweb like floaters drifting across view
- Slight glare around bright lights especially at night
- Mild focusing difficulty while the eye readjusts
- Improving clarity for reading and distance tasks
