Vision after entropion surgery usually stays safe but may feel slightly blurred at times during early healing.
Short-term vision changes
In the first days, ointment, watering, and swelling often cause temporary blur. These changes are usually mild and improve as the eye settles.
- Expect blur to be worst immediately after using ointment
- Reading and screens may be tiring at first
- Colours and focus should remain broadly normal
- Report sudden shadowing, double vision, or strong pain promptly
- Most people can manage everyday tasks with care
Longer-term stability
As the lid position improves, the eye surface becomes calmer and vision often feels clearer and more comfortable. Stability times differ slightly between people.
- Vision commonly feels more settled after 2-4 weeks
- Dryness or watering can still cause occasional fluctuations
- Glasses prescriptions usually do not need immediate change
- Schedule a routine eye test once healing is complete if vision seems different
- Seek review if blur persists or worsens instead of improving
