How Long Should You Wait Before Laser Enhancement?

1 min read

Enhancement should only be performed once refractive stability is achieved¹.

Typical stability timelines:

  • LASIK: 3 months
  • PRK: 3–6 months
  • After cataract or RLE: 3 months minimum

Enhancing too early risks treating transient refractive shifts caused by epithelial remodelling or wound healing² ³.

Topography and refraction must be stable on repeat measurements¹.

Enhancement is never urgent. It is deliberate.
