Most light housework is safe soon after a three snip procedure, but heavier chores should wait while the eyelid heals.
Light home activities
Gentle tasks allow you to stay independent without overloading the eye. Listen to your body and rest when tired.
- Cooking, light tidying, and simple washing up are usually fine
- Open windows or use fans to reduce steam and strong fumes
- Avoid splashes from cleaning products into the operated eye
- Use lubricating drops if the eye feels dry during chores
- Stop if you feel throbbing, pulling, or increasing soreness
Heavier cleaning and DIY tasks
Jobs involving dust, bending, or heavy lifting can put pressure on the healing inner eyelid.
- Delay vacuuming, deep cleaning, and heavy gardening for several days
- Wear protective glasses in dusty or dirty environments
- Ask family or friends for help with strenuous chores initially
- Avoid ladders until balance and vision feel steady
- Discuss concerns about particular tasks at your check-up
