Choice depends on anterior chamber depth, endothelial health, refractive error, age, and long-term visual goals. For moderate-to-high hyperopia, lens-based solutions often provide more predictable and stable outcomes over time.
Patients should be counselled about trade-offs, including reversibility, cataract risk, visual phenomena, and future surgical considerations. Timing is critical: the “right” treatment today may not be the best choice if age-related changes are imminent.
