Vision after brow lift surgery is usually only mildly affected, but swelling and bruising around the eyes can cause temporary blur or heaviness.
Short-term visual changes
In the first days, puffiness and ointment may make it harder to open the eyes fully. This can make reading and close work more tiring.
- Blur is often worse when swelling is at its peak
- Some people notice mild double vision when very swollen
- Using lubricating drops helps if the eyes feel dry or gritty
- Report sudden dark shadows, strong pain, or major vision loss urgently
- Most people can manage simple tasks with care
Longer-term stability
As swelling settles and the brows find their new position, vision usually feels normal again. Any small changes in eyelid opening become easier for the brain to adapt to.
- Vision commonly feels settled within two to four weeks
- Occasional dryness or watering may still cause fluctuations
- Glasses prescriptions rarely need immediate change
- Arrange a routine eye test once healing is complete if vision feels different
- Seek review if blur or double vision persist or worsen
