What is endoscopic brow lift?

< 1 min read

An endoscopic brow lift is a minimally invasive procedure that elevates the eyebrows and smooths forehead lines using small hidden incisions and an endoscope. It addresses brow ptosis and upper‑face ageing.

Technique

Several small incisions are made behind the hairline, through which an endoscope and instruments are introduced. The forehead tissues are released from underlying bone and then lifted and secured in a higher position.

  • Leaves minimal visible scarring compared with traditional open lifts
  • Allows precise repositioning of brow shape and asymmetry correction
  • Often combined with upper eyelid blepharoplasty
  • Usually performed under general anaesthetic or deep sedation

Recovery

Swelling, bruising, and forehead numbness are common temporarily. Results evolve over weeks as tissues settle.

  • Patients are advised to avoid heavy lifting and vigorous facial movements initially
  • Head elevation and cold compresses help reduce swelling
  • Complications can include asymmetry, over‑ or under‑correction, or hairline changes
  • Most patients achieve a more open, rested upper‑face appearance
