Most people return to work within a couple of days after a three snip procedure, depending on comfort and job type.
Office and light duties
Desk-based roles are usually manageable quite soon once soreness settles. You may still have mild redness at the inner corner.
- Many patients resume light work within one to two days
- Use lubricating drops during screen time if the eye feels dry
- Plan slightly shorter days at first if possible
- Avoid dusty or smoky rooms that could irritate the eye
- Check driving suitability before commuting by car
More physical or messy jobs
Work involving dirt, splashes, or risk of eye knocks may need a longer break. Protecting the inner eyelid is important.
- Discuss your role with the clinician before the procedure
- Consider protective eyewear when you first return
- Delay demanding tasks for several days, or as advised
- Stop work and seek help if swelling or pain suddenly increase
- Arrange follow-up visits around your work schedule
