General advice
Eye makeup, including mascara and eyeliner, is usually avoided for at least a short period, while facial products kept away from the eyelids may be allowed sooner. When makeup is reintroduced, using new products and removing them gently helps protect the eye.
- Avoid applying products along the lid margin or waterline until specifically cleared
- Do not use old or shared makeup or applicators
- Take care not to rub or press on the eyelids when removing makeup
- Stop use and seek advice if redness, discharge or discomfort develop
