The three-snip procedure for tear duct opening is usually done under local anaesthetic in clinic. Most patients feel brief stinging from the injection but little pain during the surgery itself.

## Comfort during the procedure

Numbing drops and an injection into the inner corner of the eyelid quickly remove sharp sensation. You may sense pressure or wetness.
