# Can I exercise PresbyMAX?

Exercise after PresbyMAX can normally be restarted gradually, similar to other laser procedures. The focus is on avoiding eye trauma and managing early dryness.

## Light Activity

Gentle movement is encouraged once you feel well.

- Walking and light stretching are usually fine within a day or two.
- Avoid heavy sweating into the eyes in the early days, using a clean headband if needed.
- Do not rub your eyes during or after activity; use lubricating drops instead.
- Wear sunglasses outdoors to protect from wind and bright light.

## Sport and Higher-Intensity Exercise

Timing depends on your healing and sport type.

- Running, gym work, and non‑contact sports are often resumed after several days, following your surgeon's advice.
- Contact sports and activities with risk of impact may be delayed for a few weeks and should include eye protection.
- Swimming and water sports are usually postponed until your clinician confirms it is safe.
- Stop and seek review if exercise leads to pain, redness, or sudden changes in vision.
